A good tournament schedule is only part of running a good event. Tournament day also needs people, signs, scorekeeping, communication, equipment, and backup plans.

Before teams arrive

  • Print the final schedule.
  • Print score sheets and standings sheets.
  • Label courts, fields, or rooms.
  • Set up check-in table.
  • Confirm balls, cones, nets, whistles, scoreboards, or required equipment.
  • Confirm first aid supplies.
  • Confirm volunteer roles.
  • Post the schedule in a visible place.
  • Prepare a digital copy for coaches or team contacts.
